Transitioning
Yes, I've been away for quite some time and yet many paintings have been done.

A Mild Winter so far
Falling into winter was bleak. Honestly -- October was a euphoric peak of work and inspiration, but Nov - Dec I suffered such a blankness. Longer days are here and I trust the muse has returned -- along with propane for my tank. O how I worry with the cost of living in this paradise. O how I revel and give thanks that I live in this paradise. What to do? A never-ending conundrum.... I have more to offer 2022 now that I have a meagre presence -- fingers x'd I can create the joy.

Where did August & September go??
I'm a bit dazzled with the speed in which the summer has gone by -- planning, plotting, blowing my horn -- and its bringing in good news!! A local magazine, Hello Country, featured my Studio/Gallery in its September issue. I've met some fellow artists and art lovers in the region and sold a few pieces too! Some plans needed to be put off for another year. Case in point; an outdoor exhibit which just couldn't find its way with our time constraints and the summer's artful dodge.

cats & dogs & whatnot
5 days of pouring rain and yet so much to do! Great time to collect my thoughts, complete paintings needing varnishing, photographing, wiring... no one stopping by, so I'm hold up at the computer - taking care of business and updating media. Plus, dealing with a nasty wound my kitty, Pepper, has on her haunch. Its been a touch and go situation for over a week now. Things looking very good today! yay -- she's a marvel xo

Stepping Lightly into June
Looking back to 2002 I see I was then too enamoured with trees of distinction... I know this image was not of anything outside of my imagination -- but the seeds of where I now find myself are there. A reminder that we must be more patient with ourselves -- we must be the "beach glass' of the poem and let time work its magic. I know where this painting is and I hope its as valued now as it was when adopted. Thanks, J - I remember you.

The weather dictates everything in the country. But Mother's Day was my opening weekend. I sent out notices on FB to all my local groups. It was a snooze...(insert cricket sounds) It rained. It rained for days and days and days... not very enticing to open and certainly not to stop in. But its mid-May now and I've had a customer. Yes, one customer pulled into my drive. Eureka! I'm legit. Painting up a storm these days. Love my new BRUTAL SPRING -- it was a break from my tree obsession. Back to...
